The NEWCUT laboratory, the joint muography laboratory of The University of Tokyo and the Wigner Research Centre for Physics has been opened in 2018. In contists of multiple coordinated laboratory infrastructures, and pursues various collaborative research activities such as measurement of muon spectrum, efficient background suppression techniques, detectors with high TRL levels for field operability.
